Mission and objectives

The mission of the Faculty of Automation and Computer Science is aligned with the mission  stated by the Charter of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca: "developing value in people, in processes and in products". In order to fulfil this mission, the Faculty of Automation and Computers Science promotes education and scientific research in the fields of "Computers and Information Technology" and "Systems Engineering", in accordance with the demands of the knowledge-based society.

The academic mission of the Faculty of Automation and Computers Science consists in training specialists in the fields of "Computers and Information Technology" and "Systems Engineering", and in adapting the training process for the integration of our graduates in the corresponding labour market of the Union European and beyond. This is reflected in education plans and curricula that are compatible with the demands of the national and international academic and economic environment.

The Faculty of Automation and Computers Science aims to strengthen its scientific mission in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Declaration, in order to complete the professional training of future specialists. In this context, scientific research represents an essential component in the continuous professional development of teaching staff and also a way of strengthening the position of the faculty and the university in the European area of ​​higher education and research.

Promoting quality and efficiency in education and research.

Compatibility of education and research with the European guidelines and the adaptation of the educational offer to the requirements of the labour market.

Continuous development of scientific research capabilities at international standards, and the affirmation of the scientific performance of the members of the academic community.

Developing partnerships with the business environment, with national and international institutions and organizations.

Modernization and development of the teaching and research material base.
