The main goal has been to specify a generic, multi-service functional architecture for the flexible deployment and delivery of QoS-based services for industrial control applications on an IPv6 infrastructure.

This project aims to create a national digital content management system in the area of science and technology. This system is based on GRID infrastructures. Some of the most important objectives are to define standardized solutions for digital libraries and to analyze and test models of GRID-based digital content management systems in order to evaluate the possibilities of using GRID services as support for implementing content management functionalities.

The project aims to design and implement an integrated system for recording and monitoring patients suffering of cardiac diseases by means of latest technologies: both informatics and communications. The system will allow remote collection and access to information concerning the patients. The information will be stored in a distributed database. The system will ensure real-time medical information exchange between the personal doctor, dispensary and the hospital. The system’s usage on a large scale will contribute significantly to improving the population’s health condition by improving the public health system’s efficiency, improving primary/secondary/tertiary health assistance and a higher treatment compliance/addressability of the patients.
